Outdoor Education

Since 2020 I’ve been teaching classes on topics such as foraging for wild foods, tree ID, general botany and mycology, phenology, ecology, and natural history. I offer several classes each year to the public (for both kids and adults) as well as the opportunity to book me for private classes. Private classes are held from February through December and can be catered to suit your group/organization of up to 30 people.

Public Speaking

I offer public speaking engagements within a 100-mile radius from Louisville, KY. I can provide a number of presentations on topics such as foraging, agroforestry, plant ID, ecology, forest management, native landscaping, outdoor childhood, and more. While I prefer to do most of my speaking under a canopy of trees, I offer this opportunity to any group/organization that is interested in hosting me.

Consulting

I offer consulting within a 50-mile radius from Louisville, KY. I provide site assessments, general advice and planning, design, and plant stock acquisition for native gardens, food forests, or restoration areas. Additionally, I offer forestry management plans and tree inventories.

Note: First site visits are a flat fee of $200.00 for 1-hour if property is less than 10-acres. If the property is larger than 10 acres, please contact me for an updated quote.

Landscaping

Through my consulting services, garden installations are a big focus for us getting ecological balances back in order. I offer landscaping services within a 50-mile radius from Louisville, KY.

Note: While we will plant previously purchased plant materials for you upon request, we aren’t in anyway responsible for their outcome once the management/maintenance plan has been established and the planting has been completed. Additional follow-up services are optional for all our landscaping work and will be discussed through initial consultations.
